This time its Julie & Julia; a movie I was inspired to rent after my brother gave me "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" for Christmas. Anyways, I rather enjoyed the movie actually but I think owning the book really helped. It gave the story more of a connection to my life and as well as some context. I think otherwise, the movie would have just been about a woman who revolutionized home cooking and wrote some book that was of no importance to me. So in summary, I would recommend this movie to people who know a little bit about cooking or at least have some interest in it. The movie doesn't teach you how to cook anything at all, but if you enjoy cooking like I do, then you probably also have an interest in the stories of its prominent figures. People who don't find cooking interesting most likely won't think this movie is very entertaining and given its 2-hour runtime, I wouldn't recommend watching it.
